Band Photos: George Motz snapped some somewhat psychedelic shots of the Behoovers during a gig at the now-defunct Club Luxx in Brooklyn. Click here for a look. A friend of Jim's took some photos of the band during our spring 2002 gig at the now-defunct Brownies. Click here for a look. Also, Peter's dad took some photos at our debut show at the now-defunct Luna Lounge back in April '02. (Is there a pattern here?. Worth a click.
Downloadable Behoover Posters: For a limited time only, we're making available a couple of super-cool Behoover gig posters in pdf format. Download 'em and print out. You're in the best shape if you've got a color printer printer capable of handling 11" x 17" images, but these also print well on a crappy 8 1/2 x 11 black and white dot matrix job (really). Click here for the poster promoting our 10/30/03 show at Luna Lounge. Click here for the poster announcing our recent gig at Siberia with the Knockout Drops. Click here for the poster for our 10/4/02 gig at Don Hills, or click here for a funny one from our June 22, 2002 show at Luna Lounge. And here's one from a Mercury Lounge gig: Click here.   Live Tracks
Before jetting off to Norway, Anders Bolager (pictured) recorded the first two Behoovers shows and we're happy to share a couple of MP3s. From Arlene Grocery on 4/25/02, here's "She's Blowing Up" (2.0 MB) and our cover of The Jam's "This is the Modern World" (2.1 MB). And from our debut show at Luna Lounge on April 5, 2002 "Conventional Wisdom" (2.2 MB).

Meet the Band

Jon   Jon
Vocalist and guitarist originally hailing from the hinterlands north of Derry. Mr. Fox was the one-time leader of chart-group Cold Chisel. He has a taste for medieval literature, garden gnomes, and a good pint.

Paul   Paul
The group's spindly-fingered guitarist and vocalist, Mr. McDaniel always wanted a Vespa scooter and to live each day as the quintessential mod (or was it rocker?)

Peter   Peter
With the velvety touch of dandy fop, Peter man-handles the band's drum kit. Enough energy to simultaneously play both drummers' parts in Adam Ant songs single-handedly.

James   Mark
'The Quiet Behoover,' Mark has a pedigree in skiffle, country, blues, and rock and roll music dating back to his teenage years.
